A Raw Zimbabwean Safari
The dust hadn't settled when the radio crackled. Two lions, 400 metres. This is what Zimbabwe does to you — it removes every layer of expectation and leaves only the wild.
The dust hadn’t even settled from our Land Cruiser when the radio crackled to life. “Leopard… waterhole… now.”
Our guide Simon’s eyes lit up as he threw the vehicle into gear. After three days tracking Zimbabwe’s elusive cats through Hwange’s thornveld, this was our moment.
What followed was pure magic. The leopard, a magnificent male, emerged from the shadows with the confidence only apex predators possess. For twenty breathtaking minutes, we watched him drink, stretch, and eventually melt back into the bush like smoke.
This is Zimbabwe’s raw beauty – unscripted, untamed, and absolutely unforgettable. Where else can you track big cats at dawn, lunch with elephants, and fall asleep to the sound of lions roaring across ancient valleys?
Your wild story awaits.
