Alan Elliott, Touch the Wild
Zimbabwe, circa 1990s
Our founder was carried into a tented camp in Hwange at one week old. His father, Alan Elliott — founder of Touch the Wild and creator of the Presidential Elephants programme — was one of Zimbabwe's most legendary safari guides. That heritage shapes every journey we build.
When you book with ZimTravellers, your itinerary isn't pulled from a database. It's built from 150 years of family roots in this land — guides hand-picked by someone who's walked with every one of them, lodges chosen because we know them from the inside, and routes that don't exist on any other website.

I'm Josh. I was born in Zimbabwe, raised in its bush, and I've spent my life building relationships with the finest guides, lodges, and communities across this country. Every itinerary I create is personal — built from decades of local knowledge, not a database.
Share your dates and how you want to feel. I'll design a journey you couldn't find on any other website — because it doesn't exist until I build it for you.
Peak season is May–October. The best lodges and guides book out 6 months ahead.
