Overview
Khami Lodge's 6,500-acre private wilderness is active leopard territory. This half-day experience takes you into the bush on foot with an expert tracker, reading sign, following tracks, and experiencing the private game estate that surrounds Khami Ruins UNESCO World Heritage Site. Available as a standalone activity or combined with an overnight stay.
The day
Depart Khami Lodge at first light. Your tracker leads the way into the bush, reading overnight spoor — pug marks in the dust, kills in the trees, the scratch marks on termite mounds that reveal territory. Three hours in the field. Return to camp mid-morning for refreshments. Depart by midday, or extend with a guided ruins walk.
