Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Victoria Falls

Arrive at Victoria Falls. Private transfer to your hotel. A private guided tour of the Falls — your guide takes you to every viewpoint, tells you the Tonga name for the Falls (Mosi-oa-Tunya — The Smoke That Thunders), and finds the moments of stillness between the crowds. Sunset from a private vantage on the Zambezi. Private dinner for two.

Day 2

Victoria Falls — Private Sunset Cruise

Morning at leisure — optional helicopter flight, spa, or a walk through the rainforest. Private sunset cruise on the Zambezi: just the two of you, a dedicated crew, champagne on ice, and the spectacle of hippos, elephants and fish eagles as the sun sets on the river.

Day 3

Transfer to Matobo Hills

Morning flight or scenic drive to Bulawayo, then transfer to Matobo Hills Lodge — the only privately owned lodge inside Matobo National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon introduction to the granite landscape and its wildlife. First sundowner watching the boulders turn gold.

Day 4

Matobo — Rhino Tracking & Star Bed

Pre-dawn rhino tracking on foot — up close with white rhino in their natural environment, one of the most profound wildlife experiences in Africa. Return for breakfast. Afternoon at leisure. At sunset, your guide leads you to the star bed platform on a private granite dome. Three-course dinner for two delivered by lantern light. Sleep under an infinite sky.

Day 5

Matobo — Rock Art & Final Morning

Morning guided walk to the San Bushman cave paintings — some more than 2,000 years old, depicting the spiritual world of the people who lived here before history was written. Afternoon at leisure. Transfer to Bulawayo airport for onward connections, or extend to Khami Lodge.
