Itinerary
The combination that every serious first-timer to southern Africa wants: Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park. Two nights at the Falls — the guided tour, a sunset cruise on the Z. The journey begins in Victoria Falls and ends in Kasane (Botswana) or Victoria Falls.
Arrive Victoria Falls. Transfer to your hotel. Afternoon guided tour of the Falls — the spray reaches 400 metres on the Zimbabwe side. Sundowner cruise on the Zambezi: hippos surface in the golden light, elephants wade to the islands, fish eagles call. Dinner at your hotel.
Full free day at Victoria Falls for activities of your choice — white water rafting, helicopter flight, bungee jump, Livingstone Island, or a morning game drive in Zambezi National Park. Your activities consultant will have pre-arranged whatever you've selected. Evening at leisure.
Morning drive from Victoria Falls to Kasane, Botswana (approx 1.5 hours). Border crossing assistance included. Check in to your Chobe riverfront lodge. Afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River — the density of elephant here is unlike anywhere in Africa. Game drives begin at the river's edge.
Early morning game drive inside Chobe National Park — lion are active at dawn in the mopane woodland. Return to camp for breakfast. Final boat safari on the river. Afternoon transfer back to Victoria Falls airport or continue to Kasane for onward flights.
