Overview

Bulawayo has always made things — steel, trains, and a disproportionate share of Zimbabwe's best artists. This private four-hour trail starts at the National Gallery in Bulawayo and then goes where visitors rarely get taken: working studios. Sculptors, painters and textile makers, met in the places where the work actually happens. Which studios open on a given day depends on the artists' schedules, so the exact line-up is confirmed with your booking — we never promise a named artist unless they have confirmed for your date. If a piece follows you home, your guide talks you through fair pricing, packing and shipping without any pressure to buy. Availability is confirmed within 24 hours.

Pickup from your Bulawayo hotel. An hour at the National Gallery sets the context, then the studio trail: two to three working spaces confirmed for your date, with unhurried time in each. Your guide handles introductions and any purchase logistics. Return to your hotel by the four-hour mark.

  • Cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time to receive a refund of all recoverable amounts.
  • If you cancel between 24 and 48 hours before departure, a 50% cancellation charge applies.
  • Cancellations received less than 24 hours before departure, late arrivals that prevent the tour from operating, and no-shows are non-refundable.
  • Any third-party cost that is non-refundable — such as a specially arranged host, private venue, meal, ticket or permit — will be identified before payment and remains non-refundable once committed.
  • Changes are subject to availability. A change in group size may require the tour to be repriced.
