The day
How the day runs.
Morning: Bulawayo to Khami Ruins
Collected from your hotel or anywhere in central Bulawayo after breakfast, then a short drive west to the UNESCO-listed Khami Ruins. Terraced stone walls, chevron friezes and the capital that succeeded Great Zimbabwe, usually with almost no other visitors on site. Morning tea at the ruins.
Midday: Khami Wildlife Sanctuary and lunch at the lodge
A short transfer from the ruins into Khami Wildlife Sanctuary, our own private property. Lunch is served at Khami Lodge, looking out over the dam.
Afternoon: game drives, walks and fishing
The rest of the day is yours on the property. Game drives and guided game walks for plains game including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and eland, or fishing on the dam if you would rather sit still. Afternoon tea before you leave.
Evening: return to Bulawayo
Back into central Bulawayo in the evening, dropped at your hotel or anywhere in the city centre.
