Tiger fish are the piranhas of Africa — fast, aggressive, and spectacularly acrobatic when they take a lure. Lake Kariba is the finest tiger fishing destination in the world, and three nights aboard a fully equipped fishing houseboat gives you everything: professional guide, dedicated fishing tender, full tackle, and a cook who knows what to do with the ones that don't go back. This is a proper fishing expedition, not a tourist experience with a rod.

Itinerary
Day by day.
Tiger fish are the piranhas of Africa — fast, aggressive, and spectacularly acrobatic when they take a lure.
Day 1
Arrive Kariba — First Evening Cast
Fly or drive to Kariba Town. Board the houseboat and motor to the first fishing ground — the deep channels along the Zimbabwe shoreline where tiger fish hunt at dusk. First casts in the final hours of light. Dinner aboard and anchor in a sheltered bay.
Day 2
Full Day Fishing — Channels & Shallows
Pre-dawn start to the best morning fishing. Your guide works the channels and the structure — submerged trees, rocky points, drop-offs where tigers ambush baitfish. The lake holds kapenta too, which concentrate the tigers. Fish hard through the morning. Rest during midday heat. Afternoon session as the light softens.
Day 3
Explore New Ground
Motor to new fishing areas — your guide knows Kariba's moods. Wildlife viewing between sessions: elephants at the shoreline, fish eagles overhead, hippos in the shallows. Evening cast from the tender as the light fades.
Day 4
Final Morning & Departure
Final two-hour session in the best morning light. Breakfast aboard. Motor back to Kariba marina. Transfer to Kariba airport for connections to Harare or Victoria Falls.
