GREAT ZIMBABWE
Great Zimbabwe, in Full
A full day with a specialist guide exploring every precinct of the ruins: the Valley Ruins, the Great Enclosure, and the Hill Complex. Understand the civilisation that built this empire between the 11th and 15th centuries. Afternoon free to swim or read. A second sunset at the ruins; the light at this hour is unlike anything else in Zimbabwe.
KHAMI
Great Zimbabwe to Khami Lodge
Morning departure west towards Bulawayo. Arrive Khami Lodge in time for a late lunch. The estate covers 6,500 acres of private game wilderness adjacent to Khami Ruins UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afternoon game drive across the property: plains game, dams, and leopard territory. Sundowner in the bush. Dinner under the stars.
KHAMI RUINS
Khami: Ruins Walk and Leopard Tracking
Early morning leopard track on foot, your guide reading the signs left overnight across the estate. Return to camp for breakfast. Late morning guided walk through Khami Ruins, the second-largest stone ruins in Zimbabwe and almost entirely without crowds. Afternoon at leisure on the estate. Evening game drive to the dams.
MATOBO HILLS
Khami to the Matobo Hills
After breakfast, travel south-east to the Matobo Hills. Check in at Matobo Hills Lodge and enjoy the granite landscape, with a guided outing if time allows.
Matobo: White Rhino on Foot and Rock Art
Pre-dawn start for white rhino tracking on foot, with a tracker and armed ranger. The Matobo rhino population is thriving and encounters are close. Return to camp for a late breakfast. After a rest, visit the San rock art sites, home to some of the finest ancient paintings in Africa, many more than 2,000 years old. Sunset from a granite dome above the lodge.
WORLD’S VIEW
Matobo: Last Game Drive and Departure
Final morning game drive or a walk to the Cecil Rhodes memorial at World’s View. Transfer to Bulawayo for onward connections, or extend your stay at Matobo Hills Lodge.

- A 25% deposit is required to confirm your itinerary and is non-refundable.
- If we receive your written cancellation more than 90 days before departure, the cancellation charge is 25% of the total booking price.
- For cancellations received 61-90 days before departure, the charge is 50%.
- For cancellations received 31-60 days before departure, the charge is 75%.
- For cancellations received 30 days or fewer before departure, or in the event of a no-show, the charge is 100%.
- Certain camps, lodges, private vehicles, permits and special arrangements may impose earlier or higher non-refundable charges. Any such condition will be itemised and disclosed before you pay your deposit and will apply only to the affected component.
- Changes requested after services have been confirmed are subject to availability, supplier charges and repricing. A reduction in the number of travellers may increase the per-person price for those who continue to travel.
