Itinerary
Day by day.
Cross the border on this eight-day journey combining Victoria Falls, Hwange's big game, and Chobe's legendary elephant herds. Two countries, three celebrated destinations. The journey begins and ends in Victoria Falls.
HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Day 1
Luxury Welcome to Hwange
Arrive at a leading safari lodge in Hwange National Park, where personalised service and authentic wilderness converge. Your private guide settles you into luxury accommodation overlooking prime game-viewing territory. The evening game drive introduces Hwange's cast of characters: elephants, buffalo, and the promise of lions in the darkness.
Day 2
Hwange's Full Spectrum Safari
Dawn breaks with a predator-focused drive where lions and leopards are tracked through the mopane woodland. Midday stationed at a waterhole hide, you watch the convergence: herds numbering in dozens, predators at the fringe, the drama of the bush unfolding. Night drive reveals Hwange's nocturnal secrets: hyenas, porcupines, genets, and the calls of the African night.
Day 3
Walking Safari & Cultural Connection
Don your boots for a walking safari with an armed ranger—moving through thick bush on foot, reading tracks and stories written in the sand. Visit a nearby community to understand the human dimension of conservation, where locals share their knowledge and perspective. This ground-level connection transforms your understanding of Africa.
VICTORIA FALLS
Day 4
Journey to Victoria Falls & River Majesty
Travel north from Hwange's open plains to the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls' roaring chasm. Settle into your riverside lodge, then glide onto the Zambezi at sunset in a private boat, hippos and crocodiles visible on the banks, the mist of the Falls growing closer. Dinner is served with the sound of the chasm as your companion.
Day 5
Falls & Aerial Perspectives
Walk the misty rainforest trail where Victoria Falls surrounds you in sound and spray. Ascend in a helicopter for an aerial journey revealing the Falls' intricate gorge system and the Zambezi's winding path. The perspective from above transforms your understanding of this natural wonder.
CHOBE
Day 6
Full Day Chobe Adventure into Botswana
Cross into Botswana for a complete immersion in Chobe National Park's wildlife abundance. A morning game drive through pristine concessions reveals the Big Five. Transition to a boat safari where hippo pods, crocodile-lined banks, and birdlife create a symphony of African wildlife. This is abundance unmatched.
VICTORIA FALLS
Day 7
Livingstone Island & Starlit Farewell
An optional excursion to Livingstone Island offers lunch on a pristine platform overlooking the chasm (weather permitting)—a rare experience. Return for your farewell dinner under the stars, candlelit, toasting the memories of Zimbabwe and Botswana's greatest wonders.
HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Day 8
Departure
Your final morning brings unhurried farewells and transfer to the airport. Depart knowing you've experienced southern Africa's greatest safari and natural treasures with expert guides and personalised luxury.
