Overview

Three nights at our own lodge in the ancient granite hills — and the best of the Matobo, done properly. You track white rhino on foot with a professional guide, walk into two of the hills' finest painted caves, spend time in a Ndebele village, and stand at World's View beside Rhodes's grave as the granite turns gold. Day one begins in Bulawayo: we collect you, and in under an hour the boulders close around the road. What follows is unhurried — mornings in the national park among rhino and rock art, afternoons on the whalebacks or at the pool, evenings with drinks as the sun drops and the dassies scatter. Everything is handled: park entry fees, all meals and all drinks at the lodge, and your guide throughout. This is the itinerary we would run for our own family over three nights. No filler — the two caves genuinely worth the walk, the rhino encounter done the right way on foot, the village visit made with people we know, and the view Rhodes chose for eternity.
